At the age of 23, Congressman John Lewis was an architect of and a keynote speaker at the historic March on Washington on August 28, 1963; the same day Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech. He is the only living speaker from that historic day in American history.
Join Sweetwater, in collaboration with the The ToonSeum, for this intimate evening with Congressman Lewis, along with his co-writer Andrew Aydin and illustrator, Nate Powell, of March, the New York Times bestselling trilogy of graphic novels. They will be discussing Congressman Lewis’ role as a leader of the Civil Rights Movement and how they transformed his story onto this powerful graphic novel series. This ticketed event opens with a cocktail reception with live music by Jemiriye Adeniji and will feature a book signing and lecture by the authors. Admission includes one book from the series. This event is a part of Sewickley Academy's Sewickley Series.
Get your tickets today as they will not be sold at the door!

Rosalind's poems engage the worlds of science, art, nature and family life. There are sumacs that paint the hillside, tortoise-framed glasses, a child with a mouthful of gravel, and other observations that remind us why poetry matters.
Avant-Grade, whimsical and classically elegant, Richard Allan's designs as art is seen in a collection of limited edition silk scarves. A testimony to the best of 60s and 70s design, his prints are beautiful, vibrant and impactful.
